Although there is more guidance on how to use the PhET sim than we prefer, this sim is old and was not ever optimized – it was designed to be used in a college lecture . It seems like Michael has enabled quite a bit of inquiry and has made especially strong connections to students' real-world context. So I gave this a Gold star. I have used this sim as a demo only because I found it difficult to write an inquiry lesson. Great job Trish   6/8/13
