I really like the way the lab starts by encouraging sudents to design their own experiments and then test their understanding with conceptual questions. However, the directions for using the second sim seem very prescribed and although sometimes the learners are given challenges and asked to explain, I feel like this lesson could be more strong if the nature of the student self-direction were continued. Maybe by making more of the questions open. For example, instead of saying what happens when an object's size/speed/etc is decreased, perhaps ask "What can you find that changes the path of objects?" and "Describe what you think the cause of the changes are". One thing this would do is make the number of questions decrease; shorter worksheets have been shown to enable more student ownership of learning.
