Great lab! It really helps students to see that wavelength and frequency have an inverse relationship at any given tension after students have already made the connection that tension is the only factor that changes speed (in this sim). It then guides them to see that the product of freq. and wavelength are equal to the speed.
Used in class and students initially had a bit of trouble measuring accurately, but telling them to put the sim in slo mo and pause, as well as drag the meter stick to measure wavelength when in oscillation mode helped.
